Business Challenge
A national disability care organization Based in Australia lacked a centralized reporting system made it difficult to track key metrics like attrition trends, resource lifetime value, leave patterns, and retention rates.
The organization needed a comprehensive dashboard solution to deliver real-time visibility into employee performance, unplanned leaves, and time lost, enabling data-driven decisions across HR and operations teams.
Approach & Solution
We collaborated with the client to understand their data sources, operational workflows, and reporting needs. A robust Power BI-based reporting system was built to consolidate employee data, leave records, and operational KPIs into intuitive, interactive visuals. The solution was divided into three core dashboards:
People Overview Dashboard for tracking employee types, gender and age distribution, tenure, pay rates, attrition trends, and resource lifetime value (RLV).
Resource Dashboard for detailed employee-level analytics, including start/end dates, active status, pay rate, tenure served, Bradford scores, and unplanned leave percentage.
Leave Schedule Dashboard to monitor planned vs. unplanned leaves, leave types, time lost, and financial impact across different sites.
Impact
Stronger Workforce Insights: Enabled real-time visibility into employee demographics, tenure, attrition trends, and resource lifetime value (RLV), empowering HR teams to make data-backed talent management decisions.
Improved Leave Management: Visualization of planned vs. unplanned leave, leave types, and time lost allowed for better resource planning, reducing operational disruptions across sites.
Impact-Driven Retention & Reliability Metrics: Bradford scores helped reduce short-term absences by flagging irregular leave behavior early. Reliability scores improved workforce planning by identifying dependable employees, while retention metrics enabled timely interventions that decreased attrition and stabilized team performance.
